Cilento, A Green Heart Which Is Reflected In The Blue Sea
The Cilento is one of the most pristine territories of Italy and is essentially NATURE, ARCHEOLOGY, CULTURE, DESTINATIONS and FOOD.
Nature is above all the CILENTO NATIONAL PARK with its famous caves, the beautiful mountains and the coast.

National Park of Cilento, Valle di Diano and Alburni
The perimeter of the Park goes from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the foothills of the Lucanian Apennines, enclosing the Alburni, Cervati and Gelbison Mountains, and the Mount Bulgheria and Monte Stella on the coast. It covers almost entirely the entire territory of Cilento, which belongs to the defined area of western Lucania and actually borders on the current Lucania or Basilicata.
Enriched by countless natural, artistic and historical treasures, the territory of the Cilento National Park is characterized by imposing and centuries-old olive groves, with large plants and a rugged morphology fractured by torrents and canyons. The caves of Castelcivita constitute with their 4.8 km of development one of the most important speleological complexes in Southern Italy.
The visitors, enchanted by the continuous dripping of the vaults that contribute to forming stalactites and stalagmites, have two itineraries to follow: a tourist one, of 1.2 km for the duration of 1 hour and an amateur one, of about 3 km for a journey that lasts 4 hours (the latter: MANDATORY BOOKING).
From March to November representation of "L 'Inferno di Dante in the Caves of the Devil of Castelcivita", show with plays of light, sounds and art installations, with the characters from the first canticle of the Divine Comedy.

The Pertosa - Auletta grottos, the only example in Europe of caves where you can enter the bowels of the earth with an exciting boat trip along an underground river with a system of caves that can be visited for about 3 km.
You can take several guided tours, to admire a considerable number of stalactites and stalagmites, highlighted by a very modern lighting system.
The caves have been open to the public since 1932 and are recognized as a geosite by UNESCO.
In addition to visiting the caves it is possible to go rafting and visit two museums, the Museo del Suolo and the Museo Speleo Archeologico.
Restaurants and playgrounds are also available.

Grotte del Bussento - Oasi WWF Morigerati
The caves of Morigerati are not just caves to visit but a real naturalistic path in a canyon covered with lush vegetation along a path, which starts from the Old Town of Morigerati along a stream to discover springs and waterfalls. The scenario is that of the WWF oasis of Morigerati, about 600 hectares wide, with the river Bussento which is one of the most interesting karstic phenomena of Southern Italy, which flows underground starting from the caves and crosses the historical center, still underground. In the oasis, managed by the WWF in collaboration with the Municipality of Morigerati, in addition to the natural route there is an area equipped for tourists and you can book guided tours, work camps, green weeks, fields of study and research.
The visits can be free or guided:

The oasis can be visited all year round (weather permitting) by reservation. / The Oasis remains closed on rainy days.
